Doug Haynes

DoughDoug Haynes is the President of The Council. He has served on the Board of Directors for The Council since 2004. He is a member of the Executive Committee and the Audit Committee. Doug is also a National Organization for Human Services member and has served on their board since 2010. Doug has over 30 years of human service experience, including direct service, administration, and management. He has worked in various settings, including foster care, adoption, residential treatment, community mental health, and public policy. Doug has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Miami University.

Doug Haynes worked with companies like Microsoft, Boeing, and Starbucks before joining The Council in 2002 as the Vice President of Programs. As Vice President, Doug was responsible for all aspects of program design, implementation, and evaluation. He also oversaw the development and implementation The Council’s organizational strategic plan. Doug became President of The Council in 2006. Under his leadership, Doug has also been instrumental in developing The Council’s successful multi-year strategic plan, which has resulted in significant growth and impact on the organization.

Doug Haynes had goals to improve The Council and make a difference. He wanted to increase the number of members, expand the services offered, and enhance the quality of member experience. Doug also wanted to diversify The Council’s funding sources and create new revenue streams. All of these goals have been accomplished under his leadership. The Council has seen significant growth under Doug’s leadership, including a nearly 50% increase in membership and a more than doubling revenue. The organization has also expanded its services, adding new programs and initiatives that have profoundly impacted the lives of its members.

Haynes is a highly effective leader who has helped The Council to grow and prosper. He has a deep commitment to human services and a track record of success in organizational management. Doug is someone who knows how to get things done and gets results. The Council is fortunate to have him at the helm, and I am confident that the organization will continue to thrive under his leadership.
