Randy Douthit

Randy Douthit is an American Executive Producer with credits on Pawn Stars, American Restoration, and Antiques Roadshow. Randy grew up in Newark, New Jersey and attended the University of Dayton before moving to Japan to teach English from 1997-1998, where he taught abroad for two years. Douthit started in production working for Christian Erickson documentary filmmaker.

His Achievements

Douthit has over 250 production credits, most of which are in television. He started in television at 18 on a show called Inside the Case” (which was later picked up by Discovery/T.L.C. for a series called “Inside the Case: America’s Biggest Mysteries).

He left production to teach English abroad from 1997-1998 in Japan. After that, he returned to American television and worked up to producing shows like Pawn Stars, American Restoration and Antiques Roadshow.

Before starting his own small production company in 2006 called Media Relations International (M.R.I.), he worked as Director of Marketing and Sales for 8X8 T.V. (a channel run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that was broadcast on DirecTV), where he handled all aspects of marketing, business development, sales, production and program management. At M.R.I., he helped produce three series for C.B.S. Executive producer Jon Cassar.

Currently, he is working as an Executive Producer at Leftfield Pictures in Santa Monica, CA and is working on The Dirty Jobs Network.
