Randy Douthit – A Film Producer and Director

Randy DouthitRandy Douthit is a renowned film producer in America. He is the producer of famous television shows such as Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown, and Hot Seat. In 1999 he won the Peabody Award and successfully directed and produced various talk shows and panel shows like Larry King Live and CNN’s “Crossfire.”

Randy was born on 15th November 1949 in Newberg, United States, to Elizabeth Butler and Ralph Loren. He joined Stanford University but quit after some time and joined Portland State University, where he graduated with a Bachelors and Masters in Psychology.

In 1978, Randy Douthit started his career as a producer in King Broadcasting. After eight years, he joined the New York-based ABC as the producer. Between 1981 and 1999, Randy served Cable News Network as the Executive Producer. He was also an Executive Producer in several film productions like Quincy Jones Entertainment in Los Angeles (1993), Warner Brothers in Los Angeles (1991-1993), and Home Box Office in Los Angeles (1994).
