In 1982, Damien and his father were awarded a contract by America’s top record producer Quincy Jones to manage Quincy’s solo career; doing so was no easy task with Sir Paul McCartney on probation and George Martin at EMI, but they did it. He was also awarded a contract to represent Quincy Jones and his studio’s shows, including ‘The Color Purple,’ My Life, The Breaks of the Game, Through the Eyes of Love, Mysterious Ways, and many others. Damien Granderson continues to manage Sir Paul McCartney’s career today. He received the very first Academy Talent Manager Award for his contributions to the industry.

He worked as an attorney at his father’s law firm for many years and served as a legal adviser for numerous stars, including Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, and Will Smith. Damien Granderson´s work helped create more than $250 million in revenue for the artists and companies he represented. When his father died, Damien became the CEO of Granderson Law Firm and worked to keep his father’s legacy alive.
The successful entertainment attorney also served as a legal adviser to the Recording Academy, which presents the annual Grammy Awards. Damien Granderson also served as legal adviser to The Prince’s Trust and Prince Charles’ Trust in London. He also serves as an associate producer for the Emmy Award-winning reality series Celebrity Justice’.
