Rental prices throughout the UK decreased an average of 0.9% from November to December 2023, although rental rates decreased as much as 2.21% in Greater London. Greycoat Real Estate pointed out the exception to the rule, the area where rates did not decrease, but instead saw an increase in rental rates.

Renters looking for properties in the East Midlands region should anticipate higher rates. From November to December, Rates increased by 0.4% in the East Midlands.  Greycoat explains that the rate increase in the East Midlands is attributed to many factors, including property owners raising prices to remain competitive in the real estate market.

 

Buyers aren’t rushing to buy homes this year. The economic health in the UK simply isn’t as strong as it was last year. Greycoat informs how properties sell an average of 28 days slower this year compared to a year ago, sitting on the market an average of 68 days.
