During the pandemic, many offices needed to make some changes. One of those changes was allowing people to work from home, but they are now looking for ways that they can make coming into the office the optimal thing to do. According to Hughes Marino, employers need to focus on the following things:

 

Create an Atmosphere of Meaningful Collaboration.

 

Employees have been expressing the desire to be in the office at least on an occasional basis, according to Hughes Marino specialists. Home office is still a trend during the post pandemic era. They like the ability to work with their colleagues and celebrate with them when they have successes. A company can encourage this camaraderie by designating areas where co-workers can go to have meetings or have brainstorming sessions. 

 

They also encourage communication between colleagues by having the entire company take their lunches together, Hughes Marino adds. This advances in the corporate culture the work they do at home because they are ready to concentrate on their own after they have enjoyed time with their co-workers. 

 

Design a Homey Workspace.

 

Hughes Marino also suggests designing these spaces as areas where collaboration between co-workers happens naturally. These areas need to be comfortable so that people can engage in mentoring and coaching and have the deepest connections with co-workers. The point is to make sure that the workplace is a place where people want to go. 

 

If the workplace has the same type of layout as offices had before the pandemic, the buyer and tenant representation firm does not believe that the company will be able to retain its employees for very long. Hughes Marino believes that the design of the office and the company culture are very important to a company’s overall success.
