Where Did The Idea For RAINN Come From?
The idea for RAINN, the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network, was born out of a need for change. It emerged from the realization that survivors of sexual assault needed a support system they could rely on. Scott Berkowitz, the founder of RAINN, recognized this need and took action.
Having worked as a prosecutor in Washington DC., Berkowitz witnessed firsthand the struggles that survivors faced when seeking justice.
